I bought these for the Subaru beetle years ago and never did anything with them. I think they were originally mini fitment but I got a pair of stiffer springs that should suit the extra weight of the beetle. It was all a bit experimental really.

I suppose they would ideally find a home in a mini (front I think??) but maybe they could be adapted to work in an IRS beetle.

from memory they cost a good few quid at the time. they're here new for STG£106 each and then STG£60 each for the springs. that's like £450ish which is just shy of €900 these days

Selling the lot for €200

They were for that chassis you offered me Trev?
If I took these and the chassis I would still be in trouble, right?
I'd have no problem using these instead of torsion bars, but I googled your vwrx the other night, and you also have modified the rear tunnel and forks.Am I right or did I read it wrong?

the only reason I modifed the rear tunnel and forks was for the Porsche gearbox. You wouldn't have that problem using the VW one. Those coilovers didn't look like they were going to work with the aluminium 944 arms but I never tried them with the steel VW ones. If they don't sell quick you're welcome to offer them up to the steel arms on your chassis to see how they fit.

my chassis is basically scrap, only good for cutting up if there's anything useful on it. That's FOC, I was only going to weigh it in anyway.

Ah OK,thanks Trev,I'll leave it so.
Your chassis wouldn't be much use either so as mine isn't worth repairing. The car is currently up on adverts as well, but if I get a chassis quickly, I'll stay going ,but if not, there's gonna be a massive sale on here, every aircooled part I have coz I'm sick to the teeth of them at the minute.
Anyway thanks for the offer Trev;)

That's a shame Johnny. Don't lose faith altogether, break it up into bite-sized jobs and it'll seem less daunting.
