Sorry, just chucking an opinion on these things, but I have read many a tale about these thing chaffing at the tyre sidewall.

I've read the exact same thing earlier…
Supposedly the solution is to use 'rubber paste'
confused between it and the tyre and obviously making sure it sits properly!
I'm sure they're worth a try!
