Minutes from last year..
I will be attending but I will not be seeking to be reappointed as chairman. Time for a younger chair..

Minutes for AGM held in Hodson Bay Hotel on Sunday 4th January 2015

There were 19 members present for the meeting.
Brian called the meeting to order after the issue with the internet access was sorted.
At this stage several members decided that the tea that was delivered to the back of the room was more important than last years minutes which were read and accepted by the members.

The list of items for discussion was then displayed and were discussed.

It was felt that the present one monthly format for the calendar was working fine.
There was a brief discussion regarding a once per year vote which we had previously, it was decided to stick with the current format.

Thread of the year was dismissed as being impossible.

Soap Box Derby was briefly discussed without any proposals of how to proceed being made.

A Metal Badge to commemorate the Tenth Anniversary of Eircooled was discussed and was felt to be worth investigating. It was noted that Justin may have already looked at this. Graham would tie in with Justin to come up with a proposal.

It was decided to organise a club family camping weekend.
This will be on weekend of 11/12 July. Three sites were mentioned as possible locations.
Westport House,Battlebridge and Lough Key. This will be discussed on the forum before a decision is made.

Regional meetings are not being well supported but they will continue to be held.
Monastrevin will alternate with Portlaoise as a location.
Dave Wheatley mentioned that they have a meeting every second Wednesday.
An invitation was issued to all Eircooled to attend if they were ever in the area.Dave will inform us of the Dates and Venus.

Facebook V Forum. There was general discussion regarding the ease of using Facebook for photos compared to the time required to upload to the forum.
Graham is to investigate Phone app to make using the site from a phone as simple as Facebook. This will probably cost some money but it was felt to be a worth while idea.

There was some discussion regarding deleting older threads to make searching for information a bit easier. There was no agreement on how this might be done.

The Blog could not be found and is reported missing, presumed dead. There was no mourning of this fact.

Like/dislike Buttons to stay but it was felt that the dislike Button should be moved to the right of the screen. This is to make it more difficult to press accidently.

Duts is to assist Brian with membership and post.

The club membership list is held on Access. Unfortunately nobody in the club has any knowledge of this product. It has never been updated and is full of people who joined the Club in order to avail of our insurance.
Sam has agreed to investigate the membership list with a view to making it more useable and to bring it up to date. No small job..

There was a brief discussion regarding the timing of the AGM.The feeling of the meeting was that no time suits everyone and that it is to remain on the first Sunday of the year.

Jon White has agreed to again host a swap meet in March/April/May and the show in October.Jon will post a date when he knows.
Podsy will organise a workshop weekend to learn us something about Vdubs. He will advise a date for this event.
Jumpstart is on the Saturday 25th April.

Barratstown was discussed and it was felt that we should continue our relationship with this very worthy cause.Tracey(Velvet) spoke of her time that she spent working in Barratstown and although we can be a cynical bunch from time to time, most of us would agree with her how personally rewarding it is.

As there were no other topics for discussion the meeting was closed and we went for the spuds.
