hi all,
after abit of thought ive decided to give someone else a chance to look at this for a few years.
this was an english car originally, was driven here on holidays and broke down, parked at garage and left
was bought by the guy i got it from, he fixed it, restored and his wife used it up until 96( im a bit hazy on the specifics)

had been parked outside till i bought it 3 years ago, so you can imagine how bad it is.
its only ever had a cursory look over, but i reckon it'll need all removable panels, work to inner wings, bumper mounts etc etc.
im a sucker for a lost cause, and this is a goodun.

it is a complete car, nothing was ever taken from it, but the brakes have been damaged due to being seized and a necessity for them not to be, last time i was at it the engine was turning, as its an injection model i didnt try to hard to get it started.

wont be able to get pics for a week or so, if anyone wants specific ones let me know
if anyone has any questions just ask and ill do my best to answer.
looking for 500e.

it was a while since i was up to the car and it is fairly well blocked in at this point
so with that in mind if anyone is coming to see it with a trailer ready to buy i will need some notice to get it ready,
the shed is not in the same ownership and the new owner will not appreciate people coming to have a look, which is why i put it up here first and not donedeal.
cheers guys

@Jerry junior - looks like it is the one that was parked up outside an unoccupied house in Cloneen up until a couple of years ago; I was told about it (chap thought it was an 'old VW Passat' n as I often passed that way, I used to call to see if anyone was home, but never anyone @home - curtains drawn etc - you used to be able to see its back bumper from 2008 version of google maps...

one and the same.
was told about the car by his brother who is my mothers neighbour,
when i went to see it the owner(cant remember his name for the life of me) told me he had taken a deposit on the car and was waiting for the fella to come to collect,
i found out by his nephew that he had taken the deposit several years before i went to see it.very honest the whole family are.
after three or four weeks i got a call saying the wife wanted it gone and had called a scrap dealer to take it so if i wanted it to come and get it,
it took four of us around 3 hours to get it on the trailer(no winch).

anyway, if anyone wants to make an offer ill listen.
cheers

God mate that's a very reasonable price on a squareback, even if the body is gone beyond repair.... the engine, gearbox, lights, glass, etc etc are all still there... if I was in the market I'd be all over this... GLWS

Fair ad, as Beag said value is still there between parts and log book.

You've also put decent pictures up, so potential buyers won't be under any illusions.

Good luck with sale, this has Riggsi's name all over it.

As I dont want to be jumping the queue on other prospective interested parties,
I,ll take a backseat on this at the moment to give them a chance to make a move.
