Reluctantly I offer my Marina for sale as I mentioned in another thread. I just don't have any time. It is an early 73 series one Marina in dark blue with red interior and 48k on the clock. It has been off the road since 1982 I think and so needs a bit of work. Welding is needed at front of drivers sill/floor to repair a small hole and one if not both of the rear arches require repair, with most probably other areas as well! With being stored for such a length of time, paintwork would be needed as well. The interior is very dusty but in excellent condition with seat covers being fitted from new. The engine has unfortunately seized and the brakes aren't far behind.
I don't want the car to go to be honest, but I must grow up a bit and clear out. I came home from the hospital in one of these in 1978, albeit a later model, so I have a bit of a soft spot for it. She costs me £250 so I'd like pretty near that if I could. I have the original handwritten tax book along with the original drivers manual and service book.
I'll probably have a few more things up for sale in the next while as part 'operation spring clean' so watch this space.
Thanks for looking, even if you were just in having a nosey! :p

The front hubs, pedal box etc are worth the asking price at least! Lots of 80's kit cars used the marina as a donor and people are still looking for them! Best of luck with the sale.

The Morris Marina was the standard company car for the young rep in the 1970's - also a standard cop car in the UK

This should go to a good home, too many of these getting squashed with pianos and getting a bad rep because of it.There was a show winning one scrapped in the scrappage scheme in england a few weeks ago,it won best car at the national show in 2007,or something similar to that.It was absolutely mint.
A fcuking waste.

My dad had a '74 teal blue one from new. IF 103 - God, I absolutely hated it. A bouncey, wallowing pos!
It still is the only mode of transport I ever got travel sick from. Any journey over 10miles & i'd be barfing my guts. My stomach turns any time i see one of them!
Gotta go lie down now.
