A chap i know here in Waterford is looking for a 1600 engine to replace a tired 1200 in his beetle,

If anyone knows of one around.

Can you put a 1600 straight in to a 1200 bell housing or does the bell housing need changing?

You clearance the bell housing where the bolts fo through for the engine to trans . Very easy to do.
