1300 engine

Just pulled this 1300 engine from a 1303 72 beetle. Is running and clutch looks newish, and no play in the fly wheel. Was told by owner that it was a great engine. Selling it for a mate, and he is looking for €200 OVNO on it, complete. A good clean a bit of paint, new exhaust and tail pipes will come up lovely! Collection preferd from west Cork.

what mileage was on the speedo? can you post the engine number/prefix ?

The engine number is AR005792. Its a twin port with twin pre heater hoses on the manifold. I'll PM you a number to ring to find out more.

Yeah, but we decided to re-do the whole lot. Strip down, no surprises, its all clean clean and no wear, we will replace any parts needed, but at the moment its all really good, tin ware is about to go for blasting and paintetc. We will be looking for a lot more than the oridginal price, as a fair bit of work and money is going in to it. If any one wants it to the spec now, let me know. Complete turnkey, we will be looking at around the €750 mark
