I have this 1300 engine here that I'm not going to get too involved with as it's not something I *need* at the moment and I already have too many projects
it's a 1300 twin port with dog-house oil cooler. twin hot-spot pre-heat pipes.
it's complete but looks in a sorry state as all the tinware is surface rusty.
it has an alternator for use with an external regulator
no carb
SVDA distributor also in need of a little lubing up.
thermostat present and not burst
all standard tin present, right down to the "Hoover bit". No rear tin over the exhaust
exhaust fooked with rust.
heat exchangers are usable
It is stamped "AR" engine code
The reason I'm calling this a "rebuild candidate" is that I've removed all the tin and the cylinder heads and I think the rings are catching inside the cylinders preventing a full revolution by hand mean that it'll need a little love before being put back into service.
So, with that in mind, it's for sale cheap at €150 for the lot. Ideal as a core to send off to your friendly local engine builder oop norf for the treatment while you still use your existing engine.
with the heads fly-cut this could be upgraded to 1600-spec easily. Talk to Caddy about that...
