Not sure why you'd go cutting off the doors even as a last resort - I've gone across it done before but you still need to take off the hinge mount on the pillar with the snot weld/smaller bolts welded to the screws method....
If you were to hack yr doors off you could just go n replace the...
No room at the Inn, Tim.
I just commented that it didn't look 'too horrendous' as I got the impression it was hanging altogether from other reports of it... I spose I like air-cooled VW's the same as everyone else on here; be nice to see it saved 'watching from the sidelines' ...
It's got a few...
...I've always wondered if there was a trend of 'badging up' 1600's as 1300S' - as I mentioned on another thread on these I remember one on an estate in Monaghan - same estate as one of the relatives lived n it was definitely orange but had 1300s badging.
That one was modded with flared wings n...

...dunno about a bargain, but it this 1300S has been liberated out of the shed...
Previous restoration that needs restoring again, which probably won't fill an potential buyer with optimism, but I spose it did get saved...
Is it the same fella in Kilmallock? I never really looked at that blue beetle as, as you said it was pricey enough for a rusty beetle needing everything.
Not sure what you have in mind for a build but I have a couple of solid front beams, for a bit of horse trading on a body later down the line...
If you come across a complete but rotten Beetle in your search ; say one with the usual 10inches of rot n frillyness all the way round, but half decent otherwise, I'd take the body for another 'purists worrying themselves into an early grave ' project I have in my head ....
...to complete the...
Theres a thread a page or so back where another user was looking for one...
I've one I'd sell - looks to be a 'back in the day' aftermarket catalogue job - functionality over form ye could say...
...I spose latts etc could be put on it for the 'accessorised" look, 'all the fruit' or whatever...
Youve the early 'up to 73' rails so mine won't fit your beetle unless you start stripping both sets of front seats n start transfering covers, or retro fitting the later style of rails n some sort of front bracket attachment n that's all very long-winded
You'd think that the black seats that...
....I don't have any pics on hand - deep in storage; I'd have to rake them out.
Is your beetle the 3points mounting style front seats, before I start raking them out? Ones I have are the 3point - I think 73 is the year they went from sliders to golf style 3point / front locking pin style mounts...
If yr still looking, i've a full set of later black 3 point seats - there's the odd rip in them eg on the back of thr back rest part - original coverings it looks like.
