Hi apologies for not replying to you sooner as I'm up to the proverbials. There is some word about a swap meet in March and I wouldn't mind getting there and if you were going I would get the door off you if you were heading that way.

Once that swop meet is decided upon n I can get to it, id meet you with the hatch.
As I said needs some work, but dry stored/still on my van.
...I'm switching over to a very slightly better one than needs left n right corners doing - marginally slightly less welding 🙄

Anyways I'll message you with pics during the wk

Cheers nice one I would appreciate that. I am also on the lookout for a wiper motor if you know anyone who might have one that would be fantastic

Is it the hatch wiper motor, or the main windscreen motor?
Pretty sure I've both, but I'll have to double check.

If you've anything beetle related, I'd consider a a trade/swop. Solid Drivers door/engine/shells etc

Not looking forward to hopping the dash out again. Only did heater blower last year. And no the wiper was popping the fuses before that. Went onto one wiper method. Pain is the butt

....your linkage might be very tight or near to seizing - increased pressure on the motor meaning it heats up n blows a fuse - of course being that inaccessible ye can't feel or get an infa red temp reading on it...or maybe a short in wiring?

It ain't the wiring as I have had to bypass to a direct 2 speed switch. The linkage will have to come out anyway and if its bunched I would like to be looking at a spare rather than looking for one. You know the craic yourself
