Just some minor updates.Decided to bin the plenum chamber and big air filter.Didn't really like the look of it.Luckily a friend has a machine shop next door, and he machined the flange off the trumpety things. Also got a stainless firewall kit,and painted it body colour(Chinchilla),and started...

Hi! I have a few bits for sale here. CSP wide 5 front disk brakes for king and link pin set-up.Will need bearings changed and a sleeve knocked out,as I modified them to fit different stub axels.Need a good clean up too,as they are lying around for a while.Cost about €1000 I think. Will sell for...

Thanks👍.It crossed my mind alright..not fully sure what to do yet to be honest. Not really happy with the look of it yet.The red filter element looks too weird to me,but couldn't find a black one.

Bought a pillar drill at garage equipment. ie in Dublin on Saturday Couldn't believe they were only €200 Inc vat. Some great deals up there. Drilled a big fekin hole in the intake with it,for the air filter.Surprisingly,it worked, and no animals were killed or harmed. The original intake was at the...

Thanks Trevor.Might go over it with a bit of scotchbrite to take a bit of the shine off it.I'm getting a bit of stick here for painting things brown. My daily driver got rattle canned brown too, with astro-turf interior,of course 😅

    1964 Beetle.

Thanks Trev. They don't come with ECU or loom.I will have to get an aftermarket ecu.Link make mappable ecu's that will plug into the loom I have, but I will have to find out if that could be made to work with this engine. Most of the wiring for the main sensors, injectors, and alternator look the...

Also bought a load of stainless steel to try and make an exhaust.I have three exhaust here, but the ground clearance is not great with any of them.Just trying to figure out what might work at the moment.Have a couple of ideas sketched out.

They look a bit weird with the massive red plenum chamber, but I might leave that off,and fit trumpets. Not sure what to do yet.
