Hi all,

I want to know a good and reliable mechanic in Dublin where I can leave my van.

I have a problem with a losing power and need (at least) to change the Air Flow Meter from my 2.000cc t4 engine FI.

Does anyone know a good mechanic who knows eircooled VW or Porsche?

Thanks in advance for your help

Have you tried Emilio?

I was thinking about him but the guy who sells me the van told me that he brought there and found the window lever broken and he didn't care about that, he also told him that he could fix it for €100 but the guy refuse coz it worked when he brought the van there. I fix it myself. So I'm not sure to leave the van there.

I hear the 2.0 FI engine was used for old Porsches as well and someone who works with old Porsches could know that

you should decide for yourself weather some is good or not (two sides to every story) You could also try Cormac he's in Dublin aswell and has worked on type 4 engines, you'll find him on this fourm.

We can arrange to have it brought here for you , thats not a problem.
Or try Emillo as he knows the bus
You should check all the Vacuum pipes are properly connected first (especially the black plastic servo pipe ) or I can post you a double relay that controls the Fuel pump as that could be causing your problem too and its very easily changed .

Hi Crazylegs,

Sorry for the silence, I was on holidays.

As I'm not sure if it has more than one problem, I thinking to leave in good hands. I send a message to Cormac as I prefer do it in Dublin, but he is not responding, so probably I'll bring to you.

AA told me that they bring the van to a garage, but I don't know if that includes long trip to Kilkenny.

Are you open on Saturdays?

Many thanks
