I've a set of twin Webers in the garage that I probably don't need - I think they're IDFs - I'll check this evening if you like?

IDFs have two chokes per carb and so will only work on a twin port head (don't even think about a single centre mount)

ICTs are more like a stock single choke carb, but run in pairs so can be run on single or twin port.

You could also try alpha1750 (I think..) on ebay for a pair of 36 IDFs jetted for a 1600.

With a proper setup and jetting (can get expensive) 40s will run on a 1641.

Mango Barry had a stock 1600 with 40 IDF's and it ran sweet! Good throtle response, excellent power and it idled nice also. I always buy the Biggest/best carb I can afford knowing that they can always be jetted/choked down to suit, but a set of 36mm Dells won't feed a 2180cc engine enough fuel no matter what you do to it.
